Technical Roots, Granite Slabs, and Sea-to-Sky Riding

800 m150+ kmApril – November

About This Location

Squamish is one of the most technically demanding mountain bike destinations in North America. The combination of wet-weather loam, exposed granite slabs, rooted old-growth forest trails, and steep chutes creates a riding environment that builds skills no other terrain can replicate. If you want to become a more complete technical rider, Squamish is where it happens.

Trail Highlights

  • 150+ km of trails including legendary routes like Half Nelson
  • Unique granite slab riding found nowhere else in Canada
  • Old-growth forest trails with complex root networks
  • Sea-to-Sky corridor — one of the world's great riding regions

What to Expect

Squamish sessions meet at the Crumpit Woods trailhead at 8:30am. Day one focuses on granite slab technique — a skill that transfers to every other terrain type. Subsequent days progress through rooted technical trails and steeper loam chutes. This location is recommended for intermediate riders and above.

Accommodation

Squamish town centre is 10 minutes from most trailheads. We recommend the Howe Sound Inn or Sea to Sky Hotel for convenience and value.
